چکیده

Abstract Recently, the incidence of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is increasing due to westernized lifestyle and eating habits. IBD a representative gastrointestinal immune disease, casued by an excessive response in tract. In recent studies, lactic acid bacteria which known as beneficial intestinal microbiota have protective effects on various mechanisms. Here, we evaluated effect Lactobacillus sakei CVL-001 isolated from korean tradtional food kimchi against dextran sulfate sodium-induced colitis mice. First, administration Heat-killed (HK) showed DSS-induced colitis. Also, colonic mRNA expression levels that pro-inflammatory cytokine was downlregulated anti-inflammatory upregulated. Nucleotide-oligomerization domain 2 (NOD2) well innate receptor deeply related IBD. We found HK induced NOD2-dependent regulatory phenotype mouse bone marrow derived dendritic cell (BMDCs). Especially, demonstrated CD103, marker tolerogenic DC, expressed mediated NOD2. vivo colon administered with favoured expansion mucosal CD103 DCs T cells. However, abolished NOD2 knockout This results indicated Heat killed L. might be used therapeutic agent strategy research supported Mid-Career Researcher Programs (Grant No. 2022R1A2C2012287) National Research Foundation Korea funded Ministry Science ICT (Information Communication Technologies).

Protective Effects of Berberine on Bromobenzene-Induced Nephrotoxicity in Mice

Introduction: Bromobenzene is an environmental toxin whose metabolites cause renal toxicity. The mechanism involved in toxicity includes oxidative stress. The aim of this study was to investigate the protective effects of berberine against bromobenzene-induced renal toxicity in male NMRI mice. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, subjects were divided into five groups. Group I...

Regulatory effects of glycyrrhizae radix extract on DSS-induced ulcerative colitis

BACKGROUND Glycyrrhizae Radix (GR) is a Korean traditional herb medicine that is widely-used in clinical health care. The clinical functions of GR include relief of toxicity, anti-cancer, regulating blood cholesterol and anti-inflammation. This study investigated the role of GR on ulcerative colitis in a dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced mouse model of colitis. METHOD Western blot analysis...
